Noun WA Noun Desu (Noun is Noun)

*Wa is the particle indicating a topic.

Also remember that there are three types of Japanese scripts. Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji and each has its specific role.

Hiragana is the most fundamental Japanese script while Katakana is used for foreign words. For instance, we use Katakana for Kohii (this is a foreign word meaning coffee.) Kanji has a meaning.
