Leah Dizon is back

I do like Leah Dizon. Just like most people, I’ve found her racy photos on Facebook or Myspace page back in 2005. She was gorgeous, and was a classic “hot” girl based on American standard of beauty.  She was a model and dancer and she was a swimwear and a lingerie model and her photos were everywhere. Quickly the website featuring these hot photos started getting more and more visiters especially from Asia.

She is actually half Caucasian (her mother) and her father is half Chinese and half Filipino. She is a beautiful racially mixed young woman. Finally she sent a demo tape to a Japanese agency, and although she wasn’t really able to speak Japanese, she videotaped herself singing and dancing with Namie Amuro’s songs, and that demotape led to her debut in Japan. People called her “black ship” because of her exotic beauty and undeniable potential to succeed as an graveur idol in Japan. She became more “Japanized” after starting her new career in Japan, and she appeared to be too skinny and unnatural for some reason, but her transformation was necessary and mandatory in order to maintain her popularity in Japan. She became a singer, and also acted on some stage, and she finally announced that she was pregnant on the last day of her concert. I still remember her confessing her pregnancy to her screaming fans while crying. That was very Japanese. You are supposed to feel sorry for getting pregnant without being married first and moreover Japanese idols are not really supposed to even date, so that was a shocking news. Old Japanese famous people badmouthed her on TV shows saying that Leah Dizon never took her work very seriously. She got married to her stylist in 2008 and had a beautiful baby girl, but in 2010, they were divorced. The outcome was expected from the beginning so people were making all kinds of nasty comments on tabloid magazines. Leah took her daughter to live and take acting lessons in New York city, and she didn’t return to Japan for 3 years, but she recently announced that she will be resuming her “talento” activity in Japan again and it is speculated that financial difficulty might be the main reason for her return.

「日本の皆さん、お久しぶりです」リア、ディゾン、３年ぶりに登場

かつてグラビア界の黒船などと形容されたタレントのリア、ディゾン（２６）が２７日、都内で行われた男性用化粧品のイベントに登場した。日本でのイベント出演は１０年の３月以来ぶりで「日本の皆さん、お久しぶりです。リア、ディゾンです」と、まずはあらためて自己紹介。変わらぬプロポーションを疲労し、「緊張しましたけど、やっぱり楽しかったです」と終始にこやかにしていた。今後は日米を往復しながら芸能活動を本格的に再開していくという。子供は出身地の米ラスベガスに家族とともに暮らしているという。０７年にはNHK紅白歌合戦にも出場した。
