Federal Government in America shuts down

Oh my god..Federal government of America is entering the first shutdown in 17 years because lawmakers remain divided over obamacare. I have been so busy with work and have not been following the news..but my coworker forwarded me this notice because we work with federal agencies…The U.S. government is shutting down because Democrats and Republicans have not negotiated on Obamacare..and this is the first shutdown of the U.S. government in 17 years!! This is just unbelievable. President Obama is angry over this issue and he criticized Republicans not helping with the Affordable Care Act. 800,000 federal employees are stuck at home today. So what’s the problem with Obamacare? It’s similar to the national insurance system Japan has..for those who can’t get a sponsored medical insurance through work.

I had trouble obtaining my own individual medical insurance plan when I didn’t have a job in America…that was many years ago but I simply didn’t have that kind of problem in Japan so I was surprised with the number of people who didn’t have any medical coverage and because of this, they cannot seek medical help. Under Obama’s insurance plan, people who cannot get health insurance through medicaid, medicare or their employer can get it through obama. This plan is supposed to help the uninsured because of unemployment or poverty. And people with a preexisting condition cannot be denied because of their medical condition. And under this program, people are mandated to have health insurance so if you choose not to, you will pay $95 tax penalty and probably a lot of young healthy people choose to rather pay the penalty.

Well, I really hope this plan will be implemented successfully..if not, it will be a disaster simply.
