Mother’s day in Japan| Haha no hi

Mother’s day is called “haha no hi” or “ofukuro no hi” typically in Japanese. Japanese people celebrate mother’s day on the second sunday in May. Kids usually get flowers and gifts for their mothers to celebrate this special day.

Yes this may sound a little strange, but Japanese people don’t usually exchange or send cards for mother’s day. But they give flowers, and carnations are the most popular flower
