How English sounds like to non-English Speakers

This is crazy. My friend shared this YouTube video on facebook so I was checking this out and couldn’t understand a word they are saying..I thought for a second whether I had forgotten how to speak English because they sound so familiar..especially this guy has the perfect American English accent but I just cannot understand their dialogue..so yes, actually this used to be my world when I first moved to America. I could read and write but my comprehension level was very poor and I just could not understand what people were saying..it sounded so fast and I had to keep asking them to repeat..:(

So the reason why we cannot understand what a couple in the film is saying is that they are speaking fake English. It sounds like English but they are not speaking English.

If you are a native English speaker (not necessarily from America) and want to know what English sounds like to foreigners, this is it! I mean..foreigners who speak very little English. This is an excellent short film which still gets the message across so I wanted to share it with you. ^-^
