Make Money With Google AdSense

My friend has web design and hosting company and he told me about Google Adsense. I think this is an excellent program if you are interested in making money with Google. There are many bloggers who are making a living off blogging. I didn’t even know what “blogging” means back then.  Sources claim that Google has the largest publisher network. It must be true because Google now owns youtube!

Google Adsense:

Adsense basically connects you (publisher) and advertiser through Google Adsense Program, and if your website is approved, Google’s advertisers’ ads will start showing up. But your application needs to be approved first, and then google can give you the source code which needs to be copied and pasted into your website.  Implementing google’s ad code is fairly easy and you don’t need a special programming skill for this. But one thing you need to keep in mind is that Adsense is not a get rich quick type of program. You are going to have to put a lot of efforts into building your website which attracts a lot of visitors and maybe you can earn something from google. Google.com generates revenue by letting website owners to advertise on their search results pages.

You will also find the ads displayed above the search results and along the right side of the google home page. These are called Sponsored Results, which means that advertisers pay every time their website visitors click these ads. It is almost like an auction because advertisers can set their own price to compete for those spots. Now maybe you are starting to understand how this work but as a website owner, you get to keep a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords by displaying these same text or image ads on your website. When someone clicks the ad displayed on your website, you can ear about 70% of the total amount per click and the rest goes to Google. And this is what’s called “AdSense”.

The only thing that new bloggers need to really keep in mind is that…it is a lot of work if you want to build a website which actually attracts millions of traffics per month to get the kind of money you want. Most bloggers barely make any money and that is the reality.

So another question that I had was how much can I earn?

Well, this is also a bit tricky because it depends on how much advertisers are bitting google to get a particular space to advertise their website/company. Some people say you can earn between $2 and $15 every time your website visitor click the ad displayed on your website. Although we are not sure how much we can earn exactly, you are likely to make some money if your website’s content has highly competitive keywords. The more competitive the search term, the more the advertisers will bid and you can earn a higher amount as a publisher.

Google won’t tell you how much you earned from each click but you can log into Adsense account to get the total revenue and the number of clicks. You can do the math. But in general your earnings vary depending on how many traffics you are bringing into your website and how much the advertisers are paying for their ads. Thanks to social media, now you can use twitter, facebook, youtube and google plus to promote your website or blog.
