富士山（ふじさん）の思い出

My memory of Mt. Fuji.

今年の夏休みに、初めて富士山に登りました。

I climbed Mt. Fuji this summer for the first time.

富士山は日本でいちばん高い山で、３７７６　メートルもあります。Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan and it is as high as 3776 meters. （５：こんな高い山）は私の国にはありません。(5 ) our country doesn’t have such high mountains.

それで、留学したら、ぜひ登ってみたいと思っていました。

So I had always wanted to climb the mountain when I study overseas.

富士山の途中までバスで行って、夜１０時ごろから登り始めました。

We drove through the point on our way to Mt. Fuji by bus and we started climbing at around 10pm.

山の上で朝日を見るために夜中も歩かなければなりませんでした。

We had to walk through the night in order to the sunrise from the top of Mt. Fuji.

登山の途中で、（６：もう帰りたい）と思いました。

While climbing the mountain, I thought to myself that I wanted to go home.

なぜかというと、夏でも富士山の上のほうは本当に寒かったし、予想よりも山の道を歩くのは大変で、足も痛かったからです。

It was because Mountain was really cold even thought it was summer and walking the mountain trails was more challenging than expected and my feet were hurting.

（７：しかし）、山の上に着いて朝日を見たら、それまでの疲れが消えてしまいました。

(7 But ), When we arrived at the tope of Mt. Fuji and saw the sunrise, the exhaustion that I had been feeling until that point disappeared.

突然、目の前に広がる雲の間から朝日が（　８ー現れたのです）。

Suddenly, we saw the sunrise from the cloud of darkness.

今まで見た中でいちばん美しい朝日でした。

It was the most beautiful sunrise. 一生忘れないだろうと思います。とてもすばらしい（９思いでになりました）。I will never forget this for the rest of my life. It became a wonderful  ( 9 : memory)
