This song is killing me

I am listening to this song non-stop..I really should pay more attention to J-Pop as I feel like I’ve missed out on so many good songs throughout the time I’ve lived in California. 🙁

You can google the lyrics of this song called “Unmet no hito” (運命の人） and I’ve found a couple of good English translations but I decided to do my own translation.

Note that these are my interpretations so hopefully people who aren’t familiar with subtle nuances of Japanese language can understand the song better.

The group is called “Exile” which consists of two vocals and dancers. One vocal resigned and he was replaced with “Takahiro”. He was selected from 10,000 Auditioners.

He is cute…^_^

Hito=Person

Unmei=Destiny

I would just translate the title of this song as “the love of my life”.

By the time I realized that I finally found you, it was late.

I feel like we could be getting along a little better now that (we’ve) grown.

今まで　それなりに　恋をしたりもしたけど

Even though I know, my wish wouldn’t come true.
