Weird disgusting Japanese food

I LOVE Japanese food but just like any food, we do have strange food. For instance, have you tried Shiokara before? I think I’ve tried one or twice but not my favorite. It has very strong smell and flavor so usually people either like ir or hate it. It’s similar to Nattou (fermented beans) in a sense. Shiokara is made from various marine animals’ gut (yuk)..and heavily salted and fermented for up to one month.
There are different types of Shiokara..
-Ika no shiokara is the most common: cuttle fish “squid”
-Katsuo no shiokara-skipjack tuna
-Uni no shiokara-sea urchine roe
*Watch this woman try eating Shiokara…she says..”that smells wild”.
