Termination process in America

I’ve worked for both Japanese companies (in Japan) and American companies/organizations. When I told my friends about the standard procedures used to fire employees in America, they were really surprised. If you are not doing too well at your job, your supervisor will more likely to give you a verbal warning..then if it isn’t resolved, American employers do give incompetent employees a written warning to document the issues..before they can be dismissed. They have to document everything because disgruntled employe can file a lawsuit https://www.genonlinepharmacy.com/traitement/valif or a grievance through authority and things can get very messy in America.

I am not sure how things are handled in Japan because I have never really worked for Japanese company long enough to understand the system but my friends and sisters who work in Japan say that they get a standard evaluation every year but they have never received a written warning or have seen other staff getting “written up” so they were really surprised when i told them about the standard procedure taken by American companies before dismissing their employees.

I don’t like this system and that’s one things that is holding me back from seeking an upper management job in America because I don’t like writing people up, document their misconduct, incompetence and performance issues and then having to deal with possible lawsuits after firing your staff. I guess nobody likes this procedure.
