Japantimes.co,jp reports that the number of Japanese households knowingly taking advantage of welfare system is on the rise. According to the source, the amount of welfare paid to each household totaled around 19.05 billion..it’s a lot of unimaginable amount of money. They report that these people are sincerely trying hard and they don’t appear to be intentionally cheating the system. Be careful..if you live in Japan and thinking about filing for welfare in Japan, fines for trying to get welfare illegally in Japan will cost you some fine. 🙁

It is a bit embarrassing but there were a lot of young single mothers who were depending on welfare system in Japan..surprisingly many of them intentionally do not get married in order for the single mother to qualify for the benefits. So they are illegally retrieving money but still this news caught me by surprise…
