World’s oldest Japanese person

Jieromon Kimura

Jieromon Kimura was the oldest living person and died at the age of 116.
Japanese people have the longest life expectancy in the world. According to the World Health Organization, Japan claimed the top spot for their long life expectancy in 2011. The average life expectancy among Japanese women was 85.8 years old while men lived 79.5 years on average. Total life expectancy is 82.7 according to the data. Jiroemon Kimura was the oldest living person, who was recognized by the Guinness World Recor and died at the age of 116 in June 2013. Mr. Kimura was the first person who has lived for 116 years. My grandmother in Kyushu is now 90 something (sorry Obachan, I do not remember your age exactly..). I respect her a lot for being the survivor of the WW2, and she wasn’t always the happy person but she has been really happy and at peace for the last two decades or so..I am glad that she has lived long enough to live in post-war Japan.
Japan people are renowned for their longevity and hopefully I will be one of the oldest living person in Japan. J/K..I don’t know if I want to live that long..
