Japanese smartphone app for cat lovers

Japanese people LOVE cats. There are many cat cafes where people can go to get drinks, hang out and play with cats. Cat cafes have attracted many Japanese people who can’t have cats in their apartments.

Neko Atsume is a smart phone app created by Yutaka Takazaki. He was inspired by cat cafes throughout Japan and his app has become a huge hit, as millions of players from around the world have downloaded the game.

Cat cafe culture was originated in Japan, but now it has become a global trend. Neko Atsume was available only in Japanese until September last year. They recently hired a team to translate the texts and renamed cats so the game would be more attractive to foreign market.

This is so cool..no more excuse not to talk about cats. 🙂

You can make your virtual cats happy by buying treats, food..no petting though.
