Star Wars movie to cross $100 million in Japan

Everybody loves Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been a phenomenal success worldwide. The movie theaters in the U.S. are super crowded.

It’s staying on top of the Japanese box office for the fourth weekend and the movie is said to generate over $100 million in Japan. Movies aren’t cheap. Even in California, I pay $11-15 and over $25 if I get popcorn and soda. In Japan, a single ticket can cost as much as $21 for Imax tickets.

The number one film for two straight weekends in Japan is the RPG-game-based animation Yo-Kai Watch the Movie 2: King Enma and the 5 Stories, Nyan!.

The latest Star Wars movie’s opening set all-time records in many countries but it didn’t debut at No. 1 in South Korea and Vietnam.

Not sure if I should wait for Blue-ray or should I go to the movie theater this weekend?
