Yahoo Japan sold 12 tons of elephant ivory

Heart breaking news.

The Guardian reports that Yahoo Japan has sold 12 tons of elephant ivory in two years. Yahoo is being criticized for supporting the cruel slaughter of elephants.

Yahoo has an auction site in which ivory is traded.

Activist network Avaaz started a petition to end to Yahoo’s unethical practice. The petition has reached more than 1 million signatures and they hope that the president of Yahoo Japan will urgently stop this practice.

Amazon and Google used to sell the ivory but they banned. Yahoo japan is not the first online store to come under fire for the sales of ivory. Avaaz launched another petition campaign against craigslist. I cannot believe that craigslist is also doing that!

Elephants are very intelligent animal that need ivory. Please stop the poaching.
